Birthday Presence

We just got back from Tucson last night.
We made it through Chuckie Cheese and Toys R Us all in the same trip without once resorting to mind altering chemicals, though the JD in the minibar at the El Conquistador Hotel and Golf Resort was looking mighty tempting by about day 3.
But I remained strong. Waited til we got home and poured myself a tumbler of two-buck Chuck. Then I made one of my famous just-got-home-from vacation dinners for Tony and me, cut up hot dogs with peas and parmesan cheese, sautéed in Trader Joe's chipotle sauce.
After Chuckie Cheese pizza and cold french fries from David's child plates at the El Conquistador, it tasted pretty good.
We were there celebrating David's birthday a week or so early. As always, he was a perfect angel, but I think I caught him cheating at candyland a couple of times.
