Pinnacles

Months ago, me and Jeffrey decided that we needed to go to Pinnacles National Monument, this sort of otherworldly extinct volcano place where they have all kinds of unusual rock formations, wildflowers, bat caves, California Condors and miles and miles of hiking trails.

So we went down there yesterday morning, me, Jeffrey and Gloria. Got up at the crack of dawn. Hiked up to the summit, stopped for lunch. Then there we are at the top of the summit, maybe 2 and a half miles from where we parked, and it started to rain.

So then we worked our way back down the extinct volcano, stopping off in the bat cave, which was interesting but cold.

I didn't take any pictures in the bat cave because it was just too cold. Jeffrey took some though. I'll post his as soon as he sends them to me.

Neither cold nor rain nor dark of bat cave will prevent Jeffrey from taking pictures like a maniac.
