Just (Re)Married

Well, whaddya know. I'm married again.

According to this story on the gate, Superior Court Judge Richard Kramer has declared California's anti-same-sex marriage law unconstitutional.

On again off again, On again off again. I feel like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in "Shall We Dance?"

But anyway, that got me to thinking that I should put up these pictures that we took at the San Francisco blah blah blah Gay Freedom whatever-they-call-it-now parade. Because Tony and I were among the 4000 or so same-sex couples who got married at San Francisco City Hall last year, we got an invitation from the Mayor's Office to march with the City Hall contingent in the parade.

We got some good pictures, but it's kind of hard to capture the magic of being there. Volunteers frantically putting the finishing touches on the wedding cake float, Jan Wahl crying her eyes out in the Channel 2 announcers booth, giddy newlyweds elbowing eachother out of the way to get to the free tee shirts.

First time I ever marched in the parade. It was a lot of fun.

If I ever do it again, though, I think I'd like to dress up like Cher.
