I moved into my new cube by the fire exit yesterday. It's not as bad as I thought.
In fact, I even have a little table in there for if I want to have meetings.
Of course, I never have meetings. I'm just a programmer. I don't facilitate or brainstorm or empower or validate or any of those things that you would normally do in a meeting-oriented job.
I do occasionally flow chart. But that's more of a solitary activity for someone in my position.
Nothing exciting about my flow charts. They're not something you would put on a powerpoint slide and show to your sales team and say "It's a totally new customer-centric paradigm, people! Are you with me?!"
But the table is nice. All my friends come over to my cube now to eat lunch.
And Pimp Dog loves the new cube! I think it's all the sandwich meat and shrimp chow fun that keeps falling on the floor.
