The cherry tomato harvest is upon us!
Well, kind of.
After he moved into our spare bedroom, Jeffrey planted the cherry tomato (that had been in a pot on his deck) in the barren no man's land between our house and one next door, where no tomato had grown in probably 60 years.
And the plant just seems to be thriving there. Well it has a good western exposure.
And then we have a buttload of cherry and heirloom tomato vines growing out back, but they're taking longer to mature. I guess that's because they don't get as much sun.
And then Jeffrey insisted that we maintain a tomato meter so that we can keep track of how many tomatoes we pick between now and the end of the season, which usually peters out sometime around December.
Let the anal retentive produce accounting begin!
