Well, the trickertreaters descended upon us like a horde of rampaging pagans from the Central Asian steppe.
We went through about ten bags of candy, including Tony's treasured fun-size snickers bars. I think that's a new record.
If we hadn't turned out the lights and extinguished the pumpkin at 8:15, we would have no doubt exhausted our supply of treats and had to hand out packets of instant soup, canned corned beef hash and, quite possibly, our last jar of cocktail onions.
As things turned out, we just hid in the bedroom, remained very quiet and watched "The Eyes of Tammy Faye," which, as far as traditional halloween movies go, could definitely give "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" a run for its money.
