Your Champagne should not go "Thomp! POP! fsssshhh."
No no no. Your Champagne should go more like "Mmp."
Kind of like the Roadrunner.
When you uncork with too much force, you lose bubbles, so you want to uncork gently.
That's what they always tell you up at the Korbel Winery in Guerneville, which is where we went there on Sunday with Jeffrey on account of we always go through so much bubbly this time of year.
Then we had brunch in Duncan's Mill, population 85, because I wanted Jeffrey to see the cows, but I guess the cows didn't want to go out because it was kind of overcast.
Then I, being the only sober one, drove us home with our voluminous Champagne stash.
See, I don't really drink Champagne. I just had a cup of coffee while Jeffrey and Tony visited the Korbel Tasting Room.
But I love to open Champagne at parties. It sounds so festive, and the cats get such a kick out of it when the cork goes flying across the room.
Yeah, so I lose some bubbles. It's worth it to see Natalie and Flo tearing around like a couple of marmosets after a Mexican jumping bean.
